Tournament Date
On-course sign-in begins at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (sharp).

A True Challenge

Persimmon Ridge is located in western Shelby County, 25 minutes from Louisville International Airport, downtown Louisville and downtown Shelbyville. The natural lay of the land allowed golf course architect Arthur Hills to create a masterpiece of golf course design, which won the prestigious Golf Digest 2007 Outstanding Design award. The 18-hole championship lay-out takes you through woods, over creeks, around lakes and through a 120 foot elevation change during your round. Persimmon Ridge is ranked one of the most challenging golf courses in the region.

Registration
20ll SASHTO delegates and guests are welcome to participate - Please sign up by July 31, 2011. The entry fee is $85.00, this includes greens fee, cart, range balls, breakfast, lunch, beverages and tournament prizes. Participation is limited to the first 144 players. There will be no registration refunds after July 31, 2011.

Persimmon Ridge 2

Location and Transportation
Persimmon Ridge Golf Club is located at 72 Persimmon Ridge Drive, Louisville, KY 40245. Click HERE for a map and driving directions from The Galt House Hotel.

Transportation will be provided to the Golf Tournament and will depart from The Galt House Hotel at 6:15 a.m.

Format
Four - person scramble. On-course sign-in begins at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (sharp). Proper golf attire is required (i.e., collared shirt, no cutoffs or jeans, t-shirts or tank tops). Soft spikes or athletic shoes are required. The weather will be hot and humid, so please dress accordingly. Beverages and snacks will be provided during the tournament.

Rules

Players will hit their drive and the team will select the best drive and play their second shot from that location. This procedure will be used until the ball is holed. The team will record their score.
If a team is less than four players, the team will rotate the player hitting two shots from each location.
We will use the Arkansas rule whereby a team may pick up after two putts and record the score as if the third putt was holed. Also, no team shall record more than a double-bogey.
The position of the ball can be improved no more than one club length and no closer to the hole, but the ball must stay in the same condition.Examples: ball in the rough must be played from the rough, ball in the sand trap must be played from the sand trap. The ball may be cleaned. Special Contests

Special Contests
Special Contests include Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and a special Hole-in-One contest.

Prizes
Scores will be flighted and 1st through 3rd places in each flight will receive prizes. Prizes for Special Contests will be awarded. Door prizes will be drawn during the Awards Presentation at lunch.

About Golf Clubs
Would you like a different option for transporting your golf clubs?

Persimmon Ridge can receive your clubs (via UPS or FEDEX) and store them, and have them waiting for you upon arrival on August 21. They also have several rental sets available for a reasonable price.
